Marrakech hosts the 5th edition of the International Single Window Conference and exhibition from the 5th to the 7th September

The development of foreign trade and the means adopted, are considered as a locomotive that will drive state economies to assume better position on the international scene and make it an important trading platforms between all countries of the world.

Morocco, thanks to the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, traditionally oriented towards Europe, has managed to become a hub to Africa for the development of trade with the continent. The Kingdom is deeply engaged in the dynamic of modernization in terms of infrastructure and procedures.

It is in this context, aiming to increase the quality level of services provided and taking into account the importance attached to increase their efficiency through border crossing points such as ports, airports and roads, that the National Single Window “PORTNET”, due to its excellent positioning in the African, Arab and international levels,  organizes, in partnership with the National Ports Agency, the African Alliance for Electronic Commerce, the  Moroccan Customs, the Fifth edition of the International Single Window Conference and Exhibition, that will take place from the 5th to the 7th September 2016 at “Palais des Congrès” in Marrakech – Morocco, under the theme : “Virtual single window of foreign trade: The requirement of an inclusive collaboration“, under the auspices of the Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics and the Ministry in charge of International Trade.

The Organization of this edition is a result of the efforts made by all actors of both public and private sectors to improve business climate through the provision and upgrading in place, the last trends in materials of electronic services to facilitate procedures, improve competitiveness of enterprises and the involvement of all components of the sector: administrations, departments and economic operators in the establishment of a comprehensive, participatory and inclusive approach. The main objective of this approach is the awareness of the strategic importance that should be given to all stakeholders, especially companies, for a complete integration of logistics and supply chain, that represent an undeniable competitive advantage.

This edition will be a unique opportunity for the development of the means adopted in the field of international trade through the exhibition of the latest innovative solutions, the exchange of experience and coordination of efforts between all participants.

This event will bring more than 40 international delegations including 18 African countries, as well as many national actors and international experts, international institutions such as: United Nations and World Bank, the World Trade Organization and the world Organization of customs and many national and international economic operators.
